Week 5

[As with the weeks before, life in the Fantasy Sweet returns to something resembling normalcy with shocking efficiency. The second floor rest area and Adventure Zone Death Orb Room are spotless again, the demon glitter has been vacuumed, the deflated orbs have been replaced. It's like none of it ever happened, like three more friends aren't dead and stored away in the guest house morgue.

There's a new floor to explore, their "reward" for a job well done.]

Well...the fastest bet is getting a running start from the hallway. You can't really, uh. Gain traction while you're in here. But if you give a strong enough push it passes for a very adult slip'n'slide, just...minus the water.

That sounds like an incredible way of breaking every bone in your body.

[ ... that should be an admonishment, shouldn't it? But she doesn't even miss a beat -- she's peeling her kneesocks off before she even finishes talking and takes a few steps back. One more-- and then she takes a running leap right onto the slippery floor.

She does well enough for a moment -- she manages to stay upright for all of about two seconds before the momentum makes her overbalance. Down goes Yuuri Wakasa. She lands with one hell of a crash and keeps sliding until she whaps into the pillows at the other end of the room.

She should be embarrassed, or at least mad about being a sticky mess. But instead, Yuuri just lays there and bursts out laughing like a loon. Good job Church, you broke her. ]

Hey, it worked for Nari when she froze up the stairs. Managed not to break myself doing that.

[He gives a whooping cheer for her when she takes that run, even more when she falls, and slides himself much more slowly over to her, laughing, even doubles over and even manages to stay upright.]

That was fucking awesome!

[ It takes her a few whooping breaths in between laughs before she manages to try and climb to her feet. Try being the important word because she forgets to grab one of the bars when she does so and slips the instant one of her feet is on the floor. She gives up on standing for the moment and just lays there in a giggling heap. This is the exact kind of ridiculousness she needed this week. ]

I-- I didn't expect to go quite that fast.

[He holds a hand for her to grasp, y'know, when she's ready and not about to slide back down on her ass again. Who cares if he might also be slick. And if she also might be slick.]

Hey, nobody wants to build up a lot of friction when using this stuff.

[ God damn it Church, don't make her laugh even more when she's already a giggling mess. She actually snorts in about the most un-Yuuri way imaginable and that just makes her laugh even harder as she scrabbles for purchase. There -- one hand in Church's and the other death-gripping one of the rails is enough to get her back onto her feet for now, at least. ]

Just how long have you been planning this, anyway? This can't have just been spur of the moment, can it?

[Don't worry, he won't let go just yet.]

Ardyn won't admit it, but he got one of those giant lube bottles. And then I got one, and it's not like either of us were gonna use it, right? And this place has the most open floorspace...

What's even the point of sending those things, really? They've already supplied us with plenty in the storeroom. Maybe it's some kind of... in joke?

[ She's grinning like a fool, peering around the room, trying to see which parts of the floor are slickest. ]

Now. How far across the room do you think I can get before I fall over again?

Wanna find out? [Look, he resisted making a comment about her and Junpei! For now. He pulls her closer, taking her by the shoulders and turning her to face the far end of the room.] I'll give you a shove if you need a boost. Low center of gravity seems to be pretty key.

Definitely.

[ Her eyes are practically sparkling. This is so stupid and probably dangerous but it's exactly what she needs after this tire fire of a week. ]

Push me as hard as you can and I'll see if I can make it all the way to the other end!

[motherfucking_ghost]

[And this is what he's here for. If he has to be the comedy relief that does stupid shit spur of the moment to make people laugh instead of cry, then god damn it, it's what he'll do. It sure makes him feel better for a while.] Then you're gonna have to excuse my hands for just a second.

[Because he's not gonna shove her back, that'll make her tip right over. No, his hands are going straight to her ass and giving as hard a push as he can shove, which also makes him slide back the other way with a flail and a laugh.]

[ She splutters out a yelp as she goes whizzing along, windmilling her arms to try and keep upright. Keeping his advice in mind, she tries to keep herself lower to the ground. But of course, trying to do that just makes her tip over again and she plops down. She's still going though and finally whaps into the cushions on the other end with a choked laugh. ]

Not quite-- not quite! But do I get points for making it over here, at least?
