[As with the weeks before, life in the Fantasy Sweet returns to something resembling normalcy with shocking efficiency. The second floor rest area and Adventure Zone Death Orb Room are spotless again, the demon glitter has been vacuumed, the deflated orbs have been replaced. It's like none of it ever happened, like three more friends aren't dead and stored away in the guest house morgue.

There's a new floor to explore, their "reward" for a job well done.]

[He stops himself. The denial had been basically on instinct, but then he... recalls his last few memories.]

Might not be the same as humans, but you were created by one. Meaning that even if you aren't, humans influence you a lot more than you might want to think about........ and human beings can be awful. Look at PAL. He's turned on his creators, but he couldn't have done that unless he was influenced by them with the way he was created and interacted with them. It's only natural to emulate everyone to a degree. It's how children learn to be like their parents.

[Of all the things Nari could have said just then, this was... not the best choice. Heart goes completely quiet for a moment. Then his facial expression shifts. Subtly at first, but it settles on anger quickly enough. No, anger seems almost too light.

This is fury, plain and simple.]

Who I was created by has nothing to do with what any Roidmude is like. [He takes a step forwards, closer to her. It's a rare thing for Heart to actually raise his voice this way.] Just because we were brought into this world by a human does not mean we have a single thing in common with him!

Then prove it. Drop the human look. If you don't want to be compared to a human, then walking around in your other form would be no problem.

[Still not moving, but she flexes her hand, letting obvious little sparks show. She'll fight if she has to.]

A foolish challenge from a shallow perspective. My outward appearance doesn't make me the least bit human.

[He doesn't approach further, because it's not a fight he's after. Not here, not like this. But his anger doesn't fade in the least, still very strong as he glares at her.]

See, that's what I'm having a problem with. You're calling your creator a monster, and your plan makes you a monster to people who have nothing to do with it. Humans who don't even know you exist in your world suddenly being subjugated to your kind?

[She raises a finger with a smile.]

If you don't want to be like your creator, then don't go through with your plan. Help the humans fight your kind and become a hero instead.

[Oh, we're beyond raising voices and into shouting territory now. Briefly, at least, he lowers his voice again after that outburst.]

My plan makes me a monster? Please. My plan will guarantee that my friends can live how they choose. My plan involves no pointless violence, no dishonorable acts, no cruelty. We couldn't ever compare to the cruelty humanity is capable of!

I don't care if you disagree with what I do. I'm not here to change anyone's mind.

But I will not stand here and allow you to speak as if my friends are villains!

Subjugating is a form of cruelty. Forcing people who want nothing to do with you to bend to your whim is dishonorable and cruel beyond belief! That would make you a dictator, and I sure fucking hope your plan fails.

Ah, because things are so good with humans in control, are they? The world is in such good hands with them? Please.

You have no idea what my vision for the world is like. You're imagining it as it would be if a human decided to take over. Frankly... you are talking about things you do not understand at all.

At least they would still have free will and the choice to make their own mistakes! Yeah, humans fuck up a lot, but a majority of them learn from those mistakes. That's what makes them wonderful. Unique. Makes me happy to be one. I like being able to wake up in the morning and choose for myself what I'll do with my day.

What your proposing makes you no different than the dictators of my world. Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, Mao Zedong... do you want the people you're ruling to think of you like they think of those men? Pure evil? Those men were monsters, and your plan sounds just like what they actually did. And those men eventually started mass eradication of those who opposed them or they hated.

Nari he's already said violence is not the answer and comparing him to a dictator? [Pointed look at Ardyn.]

Didn't you just tell me you weren't going to treat anyone differently? So why are you attacking him?!

He wants to make things better for his people, there's nothing wrong with that. Maybe fighting isn't the best answer- [She holds up a hand and gives Heart a look. Don't interrupt Mom when she's talking.] but from the sounds of it the people he's encountered haven't exactly been open to negotiations. There aren't enough of them to do peaceful protests! Especially when they're being killed.

Attacking? [Queenie, you have not been around a lot of Germans, have you. This... is actually a really civil discussion in her mind.] I'm just talking...

[She sighs.] See, this is what I don't get. Why do all of your worlds think it's okay to kill anyone who is different if there is more than just a handful of individuals? Where and the time I'm from you'd be considered a protected minority and people would help you live a better life. Maybe now that you know you have a choice, why not just leave that crap earth your from and go find a new home?

[Queenie's interference... helps. Heart takes a step back, immediately, almost instinctively. Now that he's no longer just laser focused on Nari, some of his usual calm returns.]

...Whether or not something like that is an option is meaningless. As things are right now, it's impossible.

[Earlier, Heart had been so confident. Arguing his points, that had been simple. His viewpoint. Defending... not even himself, that wasn't entirely what it was about, but his whole species.

Now? Now he hesitates. There's a light frown on his face, nothing like the intense anger from before, but more... uncertain.]

That is... Me being here isn't the issue. [...Well.] I mean, it's part of the issue, but that goes without saying, of course...
