[As with the weeks before, life in the Fantasy Sweet returns to something resembling normalcy with shocking efficiency. The second floor rest area and Adventure Zone Death Orb Room are spotless again, the demon glitter has been vacuumed, the deflated orbs have been replaced. It's like none of it ever happened, like three more friends aren't dead and stored away in the guest house morgue.

There's a new floor to explore, their "reward" for a job well done.]

Likewise--the situation was sure to come out soon enough, so I may as well deprive PAL of the pleasure.

...I suppose I must admit that we could have done worse, as far as humans go. Don't you agree with that?

I never anticipated that I would end up with humans for friends. And yet it seems that's exactly what happened.

'Fond' is something of a strong word for my part. But it does seem to me as though we may be stuck with them for a time.

Resigning yourself to being stuck with these people.

I would say that's close enough to fond.

'I'm not going to kill these people because it's convenient to me' is possibly the closest I get to it, so I think I can live with that.
