week 1
[With the introduction to the relationship experiment and their overseeing hosts done with, the Champions are left to their own devices to explore the first floor of the mansion as they please. Cece and Kip will pop-up every once in a while to chit-chat but for the most part they're somewhere inaccessible.
Each morning the Champions are awakened promptly at 7 am by PAL's even, almost laid back voice announcing the time and each evening at 10 pm to announce when the kitchen is closing for the night. Unlike the Overseers, he doesn't seem to be one much for conversation.
Enjoy your week, Champions.]
[ooc: welcome to week 1, everyone! This first week is a peace week which means there will be no murder this weekend! Feel free to start submitting threads for the benefactors]

[Oh, the hoe.]
Nothing in particular.

So you're just carrying it around... for fun?

...There is a great lack of staves here. I suppose the hoe is the next closest thing.

So what precisely do you use your staff for?
no subject
When we are attacked by the monsters that have gotten in, concentrating on my staff makes it easier to keep focused.
...and if necessary, I can swing it quite effectively.
no subject
Yes, I suppose that when you get down to it, just about everything can function as a blunt weapon!
Monsters, though? Having to deal with that... Your world must be a dangerous place.
no subject
I suppose it is dangerous, if one goes into the wilderness unprepared.
no subject
Ah... They only appear there, then? It's odd to imagine, but then, we don't really have monsters in my world. [Yeah zero monsters in his monster of the week based show.] ...Well, not the literal kind, at least.
no subject
[She totally believes it!] Yes, that is their usual behavior. Occasionally, monsters in the vicinity of an Yggdrasil tree have been bold enough to attack cities, but rarely to any effect. The guards there are trained for such scenarios.
no subject
[But, y'know, different worlds and times.]
And they can fight them effectively? I wonder, what are the monsters in your world like?
no subject
It would be difficult to describe the nature of monsters. There is as much variety among them as other creatures.
no subject
...I see. It's as if asking someone to describe animals, then. Tell me one thing, then, and that will be plenty. Are they mindless...?
no subject
...I am not certain. To my knowledge, none of them has ever tried to communicate with anyone.
no subject
[please fight him he loves fighting]
...That is a shame. I hope they truly are just mindless, then, or else that would be worrying. Though of course when you get down to it, things are simple enough. Something attacks and you defend yourself. I suppose it's how life works.
no subject
[please be gentle she usually wears armor and carries a shield]
If it were possible to communicate with them, I would prefer to think we could find a way to get along.
no subject
[It's okay he'll be nice.]
That would be ideal, wouldn't it? But then, even when there is communication that's not necessarily the case...
no subject
[Or, you know, being humanoid.]
That simply means the communication was inadequate.

I believe peace is always possible. If it fails even with clear communication, then that means one or both parties weren't really trying.
