week 1
[With the introduction to the relationship experiment and their overseeing hosts done with, the Champions are left to their own devices to explore the first floor of the mansion as they please. Cece and Kip will pop-up every once in a while to chit-chat but for the most part they're somewhere inaccessible.
Each morning the Champions are awakened promptly at 7 am by PAL's even, almost laid back voice announcing the time and each evening at 10 pm to announce when the kitchen is closing for the night. Unlike the Overseers, he doesn't seem to be one much for conversation.
Enjoy your week, Champions.]
[ooc: welcome to week 1, everyone! This first week is a peace week which means there will be no murder this weekend! Feel free to start submitting threads for the benefactors]
garden
[ Do you mind if he joins you, Nari? Because he actually is really curious about the garden, too. He avoided the food you made--noticeably, he's been absent anytime anyone cooked. Odd, huh. ]
... We're going to have some serious capability on our hands for a situation, if we're not all careful. Personally, I think it's going to be important that we decide where we all stand. Do we want to all let ourselves succumb to hurting one another, or do we want to be a united front?
I think the latter is smarter. We're all different, but we're in the same situation. We should work together.

I don't mind working together. My first line of thinking is taking inventory of all the tools here. If anything, the tattoo parlor and kitchen, too. That way if anything goes missing, we know what.

[ He eyes back behind him toward the inside of the mansion. ]
That... I suppose I'll help you write? We can probably find some paper or something and I don't really mind checking it, I've got nothing better to do here in Space TV-world.
[ So. Y'know. ]
no subject
[That would be a shitty way to die.]
There should be at least some kind of paper in the tattoo parlor. Maybe tracing paper? I've gotten a few tattoos, and they always have that to make sure the piece is accurately outlined before they ink. And checking it should be split between people. That way no one accuse anyone of fudging the paperwork.

[ He's only adding Chandeliers because of Takumi... but. Still. ]

Let's see..........] Tenmeowji. He's reliable and smart. A detective, too.
no subject
... Yeah, he might work. Wanna ask him?
no subject
I can do that. Don't know where he ran off to, but he's still gotta be around here somewhere. Or i can wait till tomorrow. Gardens are a little more interesting than people.
no subject
[ He agrees. Man, he likes you more and more. ]
Plants weren't much of a thing back home for me, so I'd like to actually grow some here. It'd be really rare. Stuff only upper-crust society gets to see.
no subject
[As for growing things?]
I've got quite a green thumb. I can show ya a thing or two.
no subject
[ ... Sounds nice... ]
Plants are so rare where I live they sell for enormous amounts of cash.
no subject
Then how does carbon dioxide to oxygen exchange work? You need trees and plants for that.
no subject
[ ... So y'know. ]
Only the rich and worthy are supposedly selected to live there. It's a "paradise" [ Air quotes. This is important. ] for God's "chosen few".

[ A light, derisive snort. ]
That's why my title's what it is, I assume. I run the resistance movement against them, because I believe no one's life deserves to be forfeit, weak, or strong. Every life is important.
no subject
[But how without murder?]

[ He sighs, jamming his hands in his pockets--he's frustrated. Angry. But he has... been trying not to lose his cool, because if he DID, well. He's worried his Atma might react. He saw Argilla, after all. It's just a possibility, mind, but... ]
If you have any non-killing breakout ideas, I'd love to hear them. I don't even know if my... my... well. Stuff. Is working.
no subject
[That is a little much. Like some Jeffrey Dahmer type shit.
Out of habit, she takes a step away from Roland. Anger is not her friend.]
None yet. If this is space, like Kip says, then there's a huge risk just busting down a wall.
no subject
[ He's... not joking. ]
Humans are too pathetic to eat other humans. At least, the Karma Society soldiers mostly are, so they'd rather eat processed humans instead. And these are people... who are defenseless. Elderly. Children. Non-magic wielding people. I... well. I--
[ Big pause. How much does he reveal here to her? ... Eh. He trusts you. But then, you seem sane, and he has little choice. ]
... Have magic, myself. Or I should. From my Mantra... but I don't know if it's working or not.
So I could try using it to break out? But I don't know. I've got fire, and lightning, and some physicality. Healing, too, but I don't doubt my healing skills are sealed. The lightning skills sure are--I'm not conducting anymore.
no subject
She looks rather impassive as he finishes talking.]
That. Hm. Wow... Well, I do have to say that for living in a world like that, you are a lot more of a decent human being than people might give you credit for. Being willing to help those who can't help themselves can't be easy in a place like that, especially with the people eating.
[Does this make him a cannibal? How does one even cook for a cannibal...]
If you can't use electricity, try using fire? Just a little. Just don't hurt the plants.
no subject
... Uh. Me... I'm... oh, damn it, can you keep a secret?
[ Runs a hand down his hair, and then the back of his neck. How do you broach saying "I turn into a cannibalistic demonic monster that is about like, seven plus feet tall and the tattoo on my hand is related to that". ]
And... the only ones I can use ARE my electricity, outside specific circumstances. As in, I was going to just pull the PIP off? Because I'm completely immune to being shocked, but it occurred to me they probably thought of that, so I tested it first with some water by washing my hands and then the pool. If I could make ANY currents, the pool would conduct better for me... but nothing's giving. They probably sealed my Mantra...
no subject
I'm a lock box. Anything you've told me today isn't being shared with anyone unless you let me know it's okay. So yes, I can keep a secret.
[So it's not like her being able to control every aspect of it so nothing slips out...]
It would be a little inconvenient for you to be conducting all the time. They may have been thinking about the safety of everyone else around here if they sealed it. Which, given rule 7, is kinda laughable. Still... I wonder if anyone else was sealed in any way.
no subject
[ Like, honestly, they should. ]
But I appreciate you not... saying anything. Thanks. I don't think people would react well to knowing there's a demon running around here. I'm reasonably hard to piss off, so it's more than likely the chances of me changing into Indra won't happen unless we really need that, but...
[ Still. Congratulations, you're the only person he's told this. ]
no subject
[Like a meeting.]
... you know, if it comes to that, I think you'll find that someone might be able to keep you in check. There's gotta be all sorts of people here.
[It's not like she can be hurt by things like fire and electricity no matter how much she tries.]
no subject
... I can help you pass something out to everyone. What if we got some paper and slipped it into places to get everyone to meet? You know, some notes. Put it in places they couldn't possibly miss?
[ There's plenty in the tattoo parlor, after all. ]
