week 1
[With the introduction to the relationship experiment and their overseeing hosts done with, the Champions are left to their own devices to explore the first floor of the mansion as they please. Cece and Kip will pop-up every once in a while to chit-chat but for the most part they're somewhere inaccessible.
Each morning the Champions are awakened promptly at 7 am by PAL's even, almost laid back voice announcing the time and each evening at 10 pm to announce when the kitchen is closing for the night. Unlike the Overseers, he doesn't seem to be one much for conversation.
Enjoy your week, Champions.]
[ooc: welcome to week 1, everyone! This first week is a peace week which means there will be no murder this weekend! Feel free to start submitting threads for the benefactors]
Kitchen
Hey, Wakasa. What're you doing?
no subject
[ She says, doing a reasonable impression of a person who's actually slept. ]
I just thought I'd try and take stock of what we've got here in the kitchen. And well, everywhere else, really.
no subject
[He comes over to take stock of what stock she's taken, arms crossed thoughtfully. After a while, he shifts his weight to his other foot.]
...So, uh, why?
no subject
Which we do, as it happens. [ which was kind of exciting to see, honestly. it's been so long since she's had any kind of fresh food. ] And more meat than all of us could eat in one sitting. It's a bit over the top, but that's a bit of a theme I think.
no subject
I see. I guess it's mostly Western-style food, right? [Judging by their hosts' taste so far...] Not that that's any different from usual, for me.
no subject
[ she makes a vague gesture with her P.I.P-less hand. ]
Upper class? It matches the decor at least.
[ They're being held hostage in style, it looks like. ]
no subject
no subject
[ she's actually a bit worried that if she eats anything too rich it'll make her sick to her stomach but they'll cross that bridge when they come to it. ]
For all the audience entertainment we're supposed to be doing it does look like they've forgotten to give us any. Apart from the tattoo parlour and that probably falls under "audience entertainment".
no subject
[His tone says all he needs to say about what he thinks of Kip Larimer's "help."]
Wonder if that's worth trying. Getting an infection on purpose, I mean. Though maybe not, since apparently we're always being watched, so I just gave away my cunning scheme to lose an arm to gangrene.
no subject
[ she makes a face that makes it pretty clear that no, she doesn't trust either of them as far as she could throw them. ]
Infections aside though, I'm not sure I'd trust anyone here to tattoo me. Especially if we're going to be walking around live on air for the rest of the show with it on.
no subject
[He pretends to fan himself for a moment. Lawks. With that done, he scoots past her, grabs a croissant, shows her--so it doesn't throw off her inventory--and puts it not in, but on top of the toaster so it won't burn.]
Would you get one if you could, though? I mean... it's more than a little, uh. [Scary? Yakuza-ish?] Daring, don't you think?
no subject
So she gives a little hum of consideration as she carries on sorting though the cupboards. ]
I think so? I don't think I'd get one just for the sake of it but maybe if it was for something special or to commemorate something. Or if the design was nice enough.
no subject
[IN THE YEAR 2029, WE CAN SMASH THE GENDER BINARY.]
What kind of design would you go for? Like a flower or something?
no subject
Probably! But I think it'd have to be something a little more intricate than just a flower if I was going to go through the trouble of getting it put on me. Maybe something like a chain of them around my wrist? Like a daisy chain but with bigger flowers, different coloured petals.
[ She taps her mouth in thought with the hand she'd been typing on her P.I.P. Then she circles a finger in the air just in front of her sternum. ]
Or maybe something here? A lotus or something blooming with big wide petals. That might look nice.
What would you go for?
no subject
Oh, well, uh... honestly, I don't know that I would. Cultural pressures aside, I'm not fond of needles.
[He's not a baby about it anymore--he's way too old to get away with that--but it's not like he likes being poked and pinched and having stuff put in his body. He leans back against the counter.]
If I had to have something, though...
[He has to give it thought. Eventually, he turns his left wrist--the one with his PIP--over, to see the inside.]
...Something here, I think. A reminder... of why I decided to become a detective.
no subject
[ Do NOT let anyone here give Rii a tattoo. Don't do it. ]
Something important, then. What sort of design would it be?
no subject
...A rabbit, maybe.
[A second too late, he realizes what he's said and waves both his hands, flustered.]
Uh, but--but a manly rabbit, obviously. With... hulking muscles and a gun. And it'll say, uh... "Ehhh, say hello to my little friend, Doc!"
no subject
Does the rabbit have a tattoo as well? So we can be sure he really means business?
no subject
Uh, duh? Of me. On his manfully bulging bicep, right here.
[Looks like Yuuri just won two tickets to THE GUN SHOW. Though as much as Junpei flexes, next to Takumi, Nishitani, or even Finn... well, he tried. A+ for effort.]
no subject
Oh, I see! Would it be just your face, or the rest of you fit too?
[ why do you still talk to her. honestly. ]
no subject
My face and my biceps! Come on, Wakasa. You don't have to do me like that.
no subject
You can't tell me you didn't set yourself for that one, can you?
[ you should know better, Junpei ]
no subject
[He cups his hands around his mouth and faces the door.]
Help, help, I'm being emotionally assaulted.
no subject
Aah, take pity on me, I'll never last a day in jail!
If I apologize nicely enough, can I get off with a stern warning not to do it again?
no subject
I dunno. It'd have to be really nicely. I don't know if a dangerous criminal like you would be capable of the niceness it'd take to dodge these charges.
