Week 5

[It's been five weeks (since you looked at me) and with the deaths of Shadow and Rukia, the group that was initially 20 strong has dwindled down to ten. Ten people in the span of a month and, even with the Overseers seeming increase in empathy for the remaining Champions, there is no end in sight for the Champion Excellence Program.

And again at 7 am on Sunday the mechanical woman's voice chimes to awaken the remaining champions on Sunday morning. After the initial wake-up call there is no new floor announcement this week.

And again the Champions are awakened they have regained one new memory from the ones they've lost. Starting again on Sunday, as well, Jamie and Bolton will be back to their usual office hours in their usual locations.]

What were dances like when you had them?

Oh, ah, I didn't...go to a lot of dances. My Dad mostly taught me some swing, but that's it...

Really? What about school dances? Were those not popular back then?

I'm sure they were, but I didn't really...you know...go to them? I didn't have any dates, and my Dad's...kind of very protective.

[He probably would have threatened a boy with a cake and then the whole night would've been ruined.]

Still sounds better than my dad. He used to scare off guys bragging about how I was out of their league.

At least he only did that. Mine would write "Touch my daughter's behind and I'll keelhaul you into next week sonny jim" on a cake and give it to him.

[It'd be something like this. Never underestimate Dad Crocker.]

[bursts out laughing] Okay, that beats the time he thought Jun was my boyfriend and gave him all those health centre pamphlets!

[Pales a little] Oh, no, he didn't!

I wanted to hide for a week.

That is why I never want to relive being a teenager.

I'm not sure all that space-time travel Won-san's been researching works that way anyway.

No, I don't think you can reverse your age with time travel or anything like that - but then again, I'm not exactly tuned into Time.

[The laugh is a little forced, but shhh, we can have an existential crisis about that later.]

I don't understand all the time travel stuff either, it gets really confusing.

If I ever find someone who does understand it, [Or gets it in addition to the Doctor] I'll send them your way.

Mm, I don't know. Unless I went way way back, I don't know how much nostalgia I could come up with.
