Week 5

[It's been five weeks (since you looked at me) and with the deaths of Shadow and Rukia, the group that was initially 20 strong has dwindled down to ten. Ten people in the span of a month and, even with the Overseers seeming increase in empathy for the remaining Champions, there is no end in sight for the Champion Excellence Program.

And again at 7 am on Sunday the mechanical woman's voice chimes to awaken the remaining champions on Sunday morning. After the initial wake-up call there is no new floor announcement this week.

And again the Champions are awakened they have regained one new memory from the ones they've lost. Starting again on Sunday, as well, Jamie and Bolton will be back to their usual office hours in their usual locations.]

Not with that attitude, you weren't. Just move to the beat, and do what feels good - there's no rules to songs like this. It's not like we're in a music video.

Or...well...do what feels right. If you feel better with simple movements, keep it simple.

[She doesn't even know how to do that.]

... [That just means she's going to sway and try and see what kind of beat there is.]

[Good yes that's all you need to do. Jane will sway along with you, adding a twirl here and there because gosh you just gotta twirl in skirts.]

[Jane, you are adorable. It's not going to make Lightning more confident, but she is smiling at least!]

[The smile makes Jane smile, and for a moment, at least, she feels like her enjoyment is really genuine. That maybe, perhaps...she could put some worries to rest for a day, for real, and not have them eating away at her conscience.

Have another playful twirl, this time around Lightning herself~]

[Light watches Jane twirl around and can tell that the younger girl is happy. A rarity in this place. This was just like how Hope was once he allowed himself to be more comfortable with everyone. It was good to see.]

You really like dancing.

Hoo, I think I just like the spinning.

[She's a little dizzy now but WHATEVER, it's the price you pay.]

[She sighs and takes Jane's hands to stop her from spinning.]

No falling over on the dance floor.

[She's chuckling, but grateful for being made to stop. Bless you for being her anchor.]

I won't, Light, I promise.

[They can sway hand in hand together?]

Good. Xander won't get his dance that way.

I promise he'll get a turn - I intend to enjoy myself thoroughly and fall asleep the moment I go to bed.

[Which means we dance with everyone.]

[She wishes she could do that.]

[She'll find something eventually.]

[Jane frowns. If there's something she can do to help, she'd do it, but right now she's not sure what to even suggest.]

I'm...personally banking on wiping myself out to sleep properly, so...

[That kind of innocent thinking is admirable in a place like this.]

I can always try that. I think I can out dance everyone.
