[A full week had nearly passed, and Ardyn didn't seem even slightly different than the moment they'd arrived. His hair was the same disheveled mess as ever, permanent five o'clock shadow hadn't changed, and all in all it seemed the sheer force of his ability to look like he'd rolled out of bed into a dress shirt and pants was the true power of the Lucian kings.]
[He found his way to the kitchen early in the morning, leaving a note on the fridge written in a neat script:]
[I'm still looking for something I've lost; should anyone see it, I've included a general idea of what it looks like. And I can not stress this enough, for your own safety do not put it on in the event you find it.
-Ardyn]
[Below the note was a rough but recognizable sketch of a ring with the motif of an armored knight and sword, a shard of crystal set in the center.]
[From there he found his way to the garden, wandering around the plants and every so often glancing up to the artificial sunlight. It seemed like something about it was registering as slightly off to him, and yet he didn't look too willing to simply leave. Eventually he'd wander over to one of the glass walls, staring out at the stars in thoughtful silence.]
[Later on, he'd head back out into the hall in the general direction of the bedrooms. Church had mentioned investigating, and as the days went on Ardyn was more and more restless about finding what he was missing and getting out of here.]
