Learning how to do something from the very beginning is... not something you have to do often when most relevant knowledge was already programmed into you.

Maybe as step two. I dunno if I'd trust them to follow directions from anyone but Xander, even if they were actually trying to be helpful. For now I'd like to try to see where they go during daylight hours.

We could give it a shot, if you want. I mean, I can try explaining now, but it gets a little- ...English doesn't necessarily have all the words you'd need for a complete explanation, you understand. They just don't exist.

But once we're out of here, I'll have my ship back, and that means a pretty good chance at figuring out how you do what you do, which'd be, you know, a pretty big step towards not having everything go pear-shaped.

Or, you know. At least a chance to see a little bit of time and space without all the death and destruction. If you wanted.

I don't think we have roller skates around, but there's got to be something fun we can do. Not a food fight, though, we'd have to clean that up.
