[It's been about a week since the Champions woke up in their new consumerist hellscape of a temporary home and, despite a few odd goings on and the bomb incident with Church and Nari, things haven't been as bad as they could be. No one is even dead yet! But let's see how long that lasts.

[ She says it just a little bit too quick for it to be totally believable but it looks like a smile and some chocolates are her coping mechanisms of choice today. ]

It's...remarkable, the things one forgets. The mind of a mortal is a stunningly fragile thing, and it breaks so easily with enough strain.

...I can't remember my brother. Oh, I recall his voice and face, to be sure. I know that 'Izunia Lucis Caelum' was a person who existed, once. But I can't quite recall anything before that, any time when he was something other than the person that I detest more than any other in two thousand years of history.

I can't imagine how angry you must be. Even with everything you said you did to your world, you still deserve peace. We both do, whether it's in life or death. I'd say how glad I am that someone else understands what I'm going through, but that's a really selfish reason to wish for you to stick around if you're that tired of existing. So... I wish I could give you whatever would make you happy, even if it's oblivion.

[Ardyn froze up at the touch, as if he wanted to pull away but couldn't quite process the situation far enough to comprehend why anyone would want to touch him in the first place.]

Oh my god, why are you all being so adorable today? [Because you're surrounded by a bunch of Japanese characters, Church.] It's enough to make a grown man cry. [Not actually, but he takes the box gingerly.] Usually I showed my appreciation to my team by trying not to yell at them as much.

[giggle] You really are a friend to everyone. Maybe you'd get along with the ship back home. Our master computer's AI is so advanced, it's like it's alive.
