Come morning--morning, he's startled awake by a dream, short and vivid and perplexing. But it doesn't fade like a dream. He hits the shower early, though mostly just standing there getting damp than really washing until he snaps out of whatever reverie he's found himself in. (And when he's finished, yes, he does shake himself off not unlike a dog on two feet before rubbing himself down with a towel. Do you really want to make a comment on it? Do you?)
He only goes through the cafeteria in the morning in order to get to the new floor and check things out. Things he doesn't like the look of: that trash compactor. Things he does like the look of: the zero-g room, where he'll take some time to show off his skills at floating and spinning around with no gravity to pull him down. If he looks almost relaxed when he floats on by, well, maybe it's because he is. (Hey, it'll also help dry out damp fur!) The gym is also nice. It's not the length of the hallway, but he feels freer to run laps and jump around, kicking off walls, punching out bags, stuff like that. Shadow's only let people know about his speed, in case anyone is surprised by his acrobatics as well. He gives the impression he might be a decent fighter, at least.
The other rooms get poked into. The diner and the music room don't terribly interest him, but he's starting to realize the idea of documenting every item in every room in a reasonable manner is...no long reasonable. Damn.
Lunch is when he reappears on the first floor to grab something hot. He looks distracted. Distract him from his distraction? He also goes into the kitchen and grabs an armful of rations to put in his room. Don't ask questions. At least it's not knives. It's the library for him after, pulling basically a Seth but also pulling down a space cookbook. For reasons. (And also? Looking for any copies of...what had she called it...Desu Noto...?)
And then...other places through the rest of the day, fuck, just come at him bro. ALSO he's going to check on the unknown room and be perturbed! The paper Chitanda slid into the seal is on the floor--the door's been opened at some point! Who Xander could've Xander opened Xander it???]
