[It's your first week here, and you've been offered a fantastic prize for killing someone: an all-expense paid vacation! It's a pretty standard prize as far as reality game shows go.

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), this isn't exactly a game show.

It seems that no one has died this weekend, and the deadline for the prize is now expired. There's no announcement from the Overseers to that effect; in fact, none of you have seen either of them since Tuesday. Maybe they'll make a reappearance soon, but for now, it seems that you've got a moment of peace.

I know. Man, it's... my parents are scientists, all right? Scientists aren't known for being good at names.

I am fast, but I shoot regular bullets. Usually.

Yeah, but it's not really that impressive when I do it! Like, we don't need to keep a flare gun around because I can shoot a light that'll hang there a while, or if I'm using a heavier weapon I can keep baddies in one place for a few seconds, but I don't have a gift for it like Noct or Iggy.

What the hell, of course that's impressive! Maybe not in your world, but for me? That's pretty damn special, dude!

Man, if we weren't in the middle of fighting back the Empire, I'd totally tell you to come visit somehow. I'd get Noct to show off his powers and that'd really blow your mind.
