[At 7 AM on Friday, the mini-maps that allow the teleporter to be used all turn back on. Like any other time that the status quo has been abruptly restored at the end of the week, there's something ominous about it all the same. Especially on the fourth floor.]

[No paper in it. But there is a stack of plain blank paper to the right of it.

There's also a plain-looking envelope next to it.]

[He taps a random key without paper at first. Then says something very rude at the loud CHUCHUNK-!

A few more taps and he realizes the key = the little metal popping out? Eventually he figures out how paper rolls on!

He can appreciate well-maintained equipment, he'll notice that no matter how startling the noises the keys and their sticks glide incredibly smoothly - and when the paper rolls in, the ink on the paper is crisp and dark. This typewriter is obviously very well-loved.

...Also the envelope says "Jamie" on the front, I guess.]

[He ponders the envelope for a moment before taking it back to Jamie- it's not his to read

After that is handled (for good or ill) he returns to the desk- anything else of note?]

[Nope. There are, however, two large canvases stored against the wall, while he's over here.]

[More paintings. Huh. He carefully lifts them to see if they've been painted on]

[They sure have, and they'll probably look familiar.

The first one is a realistic portrait of Jamie. It was painted with an incredibly skillful hand, by someone who clearly put care and effort into it.

But either this someone didn't like painting those luscious locks, or Jamie modeled for this when his hair was much shorter.]

I mean, they are both portraits even if one is his handsome friend and the other is a horror clown]

[I mean, the style is "realism," but I suppose a prince has an eye for artistic quality so they are both very excellently made.]

[He'll ask Jamie about it later- he had to have posed for this. SO he must know the artist... assuming it wasn't Bolt himself who did it.

What about the other canvas?]

The other portrait is very clearly of Bolton. He has slightly more hair, though.

The pictures of Jamie and Bolton are clearly meant to be hung next to each other, so that they can face one another.]

[But if Bolton has that much more hair and Jamie's grew out... and they didn't meet before here.

Time for the nightstand]

[Nothing too exciting. He picks it up and gives it a little shake- he's gotten more used to pens that aren't actually giant feathers since he's been here]
