[Well. That was a hell of a trial, wasn't it? About half an hour after everyone returned from the trial they'll receive a note under their door. (Plus Togami gets a new handwriting sample for his book.)]

This is Kurumi. I gathered up some stuff from the diner and kitchen to the Cafeteria. Come if you want. Thought we should be together.

[It's not much. Just a pot of tea, some coffee, and some of that delicious cherry pie from the diner. Get some before it runs out.]

He was an incarnation of pure evil, a Devil bent on wreaking havoc upon all of God's works.

I've seen many wicked humans in my time...even Albedo had a purpose, a method to his madness. Even if he wasn't truly Satan incarnate, he was among the closest things in physical form.

It feels horrible to say, but at least he's gone. I should have given him something worse than a gorilla suit.

There's no need to regret satisfaction at the expulsion of evil.

No. Ainsworth's death was senseless, and I would that we had identified that man's true nature sooner...but as I've said before, there's no point in dwelling on what might have been.

You're right. I know we just have to keep on going. Maybe next week will be better.

If nothing else, a shadow has now been lifted from this place. We won't have one of our own attempting to stir up dissent and hostility.

You're right. At least Togami-san is just arrogant, not evil, and nobody else is anywhere near that bad.

And arrogance can be worked with, if you know how to handle it.

Maybe you're right. In fact, I'm sure you are! We can keep going from here! Oh, Rukia-chan says we should do a funeral for the others on Monday. Maybe at the meeting?

I don't see why not. It'll be a time when most, if not all, of us are gathered...as well as giving us time to calm ourselves from the anger and distress we went through today.

Then it'll be fine! We just all need to make sure we're okay until then.

You mean you think someone's already going to try again?

No. The extra floors are rewards for us surviving through a trial, correct? And we each regained one of our lost memories the same night...

So if memories are on that schedule, then we need to watch out and be supportive of anyone who might remember something bad!

Exactly. I recall Xander was in quite a state last weekend...

Oh, that's true! I'm sure Lightning-san was able to help him out of it. Just look at them! But I'll make sure to be supportive of both of them to make sure they're still okay!

I'm also concerned for those who might have considered that creature worth attempting to redeem...

Maybe you can't change everyone, but I still think it's a good idea to try. Even with jerks. They can't all be actual devil disease mask people!

That much is true. I've personally had mixed results in attempting to find hints of redeemability in those others have written off. Cherenkov has become a model soldier whose subordinates treat him with the same respect they offer me...while Albedo was too far gone to do more than teach to focus his aggression rather than lashing out at all within reach.

My concern is that this betrayal will make people less inclined to offer trust and support, for fear that those around them may be similarly two-faced.

That just means the rest of us have got to do our best to make up the difference! Don't you think so? I'll focus on Xander-san like you said, but I'll try not to leave anyone out!
