THE SECOND INVESTIGATION

[Friday is quiet. Seth will find his Champion unitards once again in his closet, Togami will find the collar and baby carrier both unlock to let him take them off, and the ring toss game is gone. By itself, this isn't too ominous; the sabotages were due to end on Friday anyway, and the "motive" earlier in the week had left people in arguably better spirits than they'd begun it.

But there's something...off, anyway. Especially on the second floor. And, well, it's officially been a full week since the last time someone tried to make a bid for escape...

Found this. It smells like bleach and so does the floor. Was someone drinking bleach in here or what?

We found this. It kind of smells like bleach and so does the floor. I found it on the ground. [Kurumi rubs her neck.] Do you know what happens if someone drinks bleach?

I mean. That's what it looked like but Ricky and me didn't get a close look at her ourselves.

[It's the surest Ricky has sounded about anything today.]

It said she died because she couldn't breath. That doesn't mean she had to be strangled. She could have been choked or her mouth and nose could have been covered.

[Ricky's meanwhile going to take a closer look at those books, see if there's any more of a pattern to them than that. She's not really expecting there to be, but she's a little out of sorts right now and it's all she can think to do.]
